The Sydney Academy high school's front entrance has been vandalized with graffiti including the spraypainted initials of Riverview Rural High School.

Some frustrated social media commenters compared it to an incident that happened in September 2017 where graffiti in Coxheath appeared to be motivated by the rivalry between the two high schools. A Sydney Academy student group quickly organized to do a cleanup.
