Dr. StrangeJob for Mayor of CBRM

StrangeJob considers himself to be CBRM’s most viable “alternate” mayoralty candidate, because sometimes any alternate is better than the alternative. An award winning blogger, Pier reviewed journalist, and noted savior of the Cape Breton economy, Dr. StrangeJob is committed to making Cape Breton great again.

A vote for Dr. StrangeJob is not a spoiled ballot, but a spoiler of unbalance.

Dr. StrangeJob decided to run after a late-night in camera session with his dedicated follower. His three-point platform speaks to his commitment to become Cape Breton’s first non-political politician.

1.     Dr. StrangeJob is not, or never plans to be, a career politician. In other words – he is not out for himself.

2.     Dr. StrangeJob is not, or never has been, a career politician’s flunky. In other words – he is his own person.

3.     Dr. StrangeJob is not currently on pension. In other words – he does not require a freebee pension top-off.

Dr. StrangeJob came forward as a candidate, not because he wanted to take a cheap shot from the cheap seats, but because he is fed up with the “total lack of transparency, potential misuse of tax funds, and apparent disregard for taxpayers of CBRM by CBRM Council”. Also, unlike other candidates, Dr. Strangejob has significant port experience

His campaign will focus on transparency, honesty, child poverty, and a guaranteed absence of bullish type rhetoric.

VOTE for StrangeJob - It's no stranger than the fiction they're feeding you!

I am SO HAPPY to see this! I thought running against Jim MacLeod for councillor would have been better in the long run, for CBRM, getting another Dan Yakimchuk to represent the Pier and all, but on thinking more deeply on it, you may be able to make a great short term contribution as the good Doctor. Good Luck!

Should make for an interesting debate!

You may never know. Unfortunately, all scheduled debates will be "in camera" and all participants must sign non-disclosure agreements. Apparently, this is common practice lately in CBRM. Voters will just need to have faith that all involved have the best interest of the CBRM taxpayer in mind. #FeelTheDoctor

Makes sense. Besides it's hard to debate with one's tongue stuck firmly in one's cheek. Suggested new moniker: Dr. Strangepork.

Dr. StrangeJob never cared for the aroma of pork, then again, he’s repulsed by the smell of bull. Not sure of the relevance of Strangepork, but CBRM is currently rife with a stagnant smell from StrangePort. It’s time for the good citizens of CBRM to turn up the heat, so council should get ready to #FeelTheBurn.

I would fly to China to get the funding myself if they'd promise to bring authentic Chinese food to NovaFoodCourté.

One month into the campaign and I am still waiting for some of those free campaign contributions. If you vote for Dr. StrangeJob he will pick a date for heavy garbage pickup and stick to it. He will also recommend were to stick the new "Welcome to Louisburg" sign. Why vote for Dr. StrangeJob? Look no further than the current CBRM decision making process. Example 1: There may be no heavy garbage pickup this year. No wait, there will be, its starts next Monday. No wait, that is not giving people enough notice, so it will start two weeks from Monday instead. No wait, let’s give it another couple of weeks. Example 2: We are here to change the sign for you. No, you can’t change it. Yes we can. No you can’t. We told you months ago that we would be changing it. No you didn’t. We have permission to change it. No you don’t. We have emails. Emails don’t count …. Vote StrangeJob - He has his own merit. www.drstrangejob.ca

The Post article from April 28 tells us that heavy garbage pickup is delayed until May 18, but they starting picking it up on May 2. Will they return on the 18th for those who were waiting until then? Who makes these decisions? http://www.capebretonpost.com/News/Local/2015-04-28/article-4127545/CBRM-heavy-garbage-collection-postponed-to-May-18/1
