goCapeBreton.com awarded the first $500 of our Donation Fund to Community Cares Youth Outreach in Sydney Mines.

Every time anyone adds a post to goCapeBreton.com or LIKES, DISLIKES, or COMMENTS on a post, we add our own money to the Donation Fund. When the Donation Fund reaches $500, we award it to a local cause that has the most votes on goCapeBreton.com

Members of goCapeBreton.com can vote one time for any (or all) of the local causes listed on our website here.

The cause with the most votes wins the money. Once the money is awarded, the Donation Fund resets back to $0 and starts growing again. Causes that do not win the money keep their LIKES, giving them a greater chance at winning the next round. Our hope is that every cause on the list will eventually win. Meals On Wheels and Undercurrent Youth Centre remain on the donation list for the next $500.
